HINGES
A silent, efficient world without grease
Our silent, efficient hinges eliminate safety risks inherent in working at heights on ladders with grease guns.
The core of each PowerLift hinge is a 1” diameter 100,000 psi rated stress proof shaft running within our patented greaseless bushing. Our hinge bushings consist of a high-grade steel and porous bronze matrix which is impregnated with a synthetic fluoropolymer (PTFE). PTFE has one of the lowest friction coefficients of any solid material without using any form of lubricant. These patented bushings greatly reduce friction for decades of silent, zero-maintenance operation. They are ‘hydrophobic’ in nature being completely resistant to water and water-based compounds. The infiltration of water and water-based impurities degrades ordinary bearings in similar applications.

Specifications
PowerLift Doors are built using the best, most up-to-date, and user friendly technology available. Each of our hinges use 1″ stress-proof shafting, rated at 100,000 lbs shear strength.
Our no maintenance greaseless bushings are a composite material, consisting of bonded layers of a steel backing and a porous bronze matrix, impregnated and overlaid with PTFE bearing material. We have personally tested these bushings to over 86,000 cycles, while measuring less than .003″ of wear. To put that in perspective, you could open and close your door every day for 235 years and the hinges would still be going strong! Other manufacturers are forcing their customers to climb a ladder twice a year to manually grease all their hinges. Totally unnecessary with a PowerLift Door!
